This book gives an elaborate account of the salient features of social, cultural and present life-style of tribal women of the country. Though they, by virtue of their remote habitation might not enjoy much of the modern facilities, they enjoy more freedom than their non-tribal counterparts. They play a crucial role in sustainable development of the nation by their useful participation, either directly or indirectly. The author Dr Lipi Mukhopadhyay is a faculty member in the Indian Institute of Public Administration and conducting training programmes on Tribal Development Administration.
