Hemanta Bora (1977) hails from Nagaon, Assam, and is serving in the department of English at Jamunamukh college, Hojai, Assam. As a writer, he has credit to five collections of Poetry until date.First one was in Assamese (Joog, 2009) which he published personally. And the others in English. His poetry appears to be very down to earth when analysed to get into its bedrock.Harmony- Stepping Into Life (CreateSpace IP Platform, 2014), O My Lord-Beloved (CreateSpace IP Platform, 2015), Spectrum (Vishwabharati Research Centre, Latur, MS, 2016), Embedded Amber (Createspace IP Platform, 2018) are all representatives of the same Life-Message, that Life moves on irrespective of inevitable obstacles and ordeals. He has two research- based articles on Kamala Dass Poetry published in ISSN Journals. And also published a research-based book on the poetry of Kamala Das, entitled as A Treatise On Kamala Dass Poetic- Eroticism: A Life-Line Beyond (CreateSpace IP Platform, 2014). The present anthology, The Heart Of Light too reinforces the same- to get at the light when life is surrounded by trials and tribulations. No doubt, some of his poems appear more obscure and abstract, yet they are not without the grounds and aesthetic penetrations.
