Swami Vivekanada, who is called the 'angel of modern India' and 'symbol of Indian culture', was born in North Calcutta on January 12, 1863, about 153 years ago. This great young ascetic awakened the countrymen and infused new life in them at such a time, when the country was dependent and the countrymen were weak ,poor, sad and disappointed. Vivekananda lived in this world only for 39 years, but gave a lot to the country and the world. His teachings continue to inspire millions of people even today.
