The peace lily plant is well known for its air-purifying abilities as a houseplant; it's great at breaking down and neutralizing toxic gases like carbon monoxide and formaldehyde.  Maintanance : Grow peace lily in a bright spot out of direct sunlight. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. In spring and summer, feed fortnightly with a liquid house plant food. Deadhead spent blooms and dust or wipe the leaves regularly to ensure they photosynthesise well. Remove the entire plant from its container, and then tug apart or cut away the adjacent crowns. . Fill a 6-inch pot with fresh potting mix that is moist but not soggy. Immediately plant the clumps in the container, and water thoroughly. Keep the plant somewhere warm and well-lit.
