These are made in the Etikoppaka region of Andhra Pradesh, these handicrafts are traditionally known as Etikoppaka Bommalu. The handicrafts are eco-friendly made out of wood and are coated with natural organic dyes derived from seeds, lacquer, bark, roots and leaves. These are also called Lacquer handicrafts because of application of lacquer coating.
