Solar thermal heaters are a major focus area, and researchers are exploring different approaches such as artificial roughness, air jet impingement, and double pass air heaters to improve heat transfer from the heated surface. This review specifically focuses on the use of air jet impingement to enhance heat transfer in the renewable energy sector, with a particular emphasis on solar air heaters and photovoltaic panel cooling systems.
